Chelsie Crawley

I am the South West Regional Manager at Workstream and I look after the Sales team at Head Office. I am enthusiastic and love what I do, which I believe makes me good at my job because I genuinely case for both my clients and candidates. As a person I am very organised, and I have an excel spreadsheet for everything! I started as a trainee at Workstream in 2014 and I have worked my way up to the position I'm in now. One of the favourite parts of my job is going out on site, and getting to meet candidates and clients.

I am an experienced Recruitment Consultant and have worked for Workstream since October 2016. I supply Trades and Labour personnel on site and management services to clients on a temporary basis. I am very organised which helps me find suitable, quality candidates for different roles, and I am good at building close working relationships with both clients and candidates. I've never worked on site – but never say never!

Working as a Resourcer for Workstream is my first role in recruitment, and I enjoy it a lot. I did work on site for about a week – as it turns out I am more cut out for office life! My main role is to assist the consultants, so that they can do their job, and match candidates to specific roles, which I would consider one of my strengths.

I head up the permanent division here at Workstream, placing candidates in positions nationwide. I joined the company in March 2019, but I have been in sales and recruitment for 8 years. I enjoy working with people to build positive relationships, allowing me to continue to grow my desk and business contacts. Getting to know both client and candidate helps me when it comes to finding the perfect fit for all the parties involved.

Harry Larner

I have worked for Workstream since 2015, and it was my first job in recruitment. Since joining the company as a consultant, I have worked my way up to Regional Manager, and I would say that my hardworking nature is my strongest quality. I am also the consultant for the façade division within London, and my daily tasks include managing my team and resolving issues, and representing the company on site and in meetings with clients. I have a good relationship with my team and our cohesiveness helps us to serve both clients and candidates to the best of our ability. Growing up, I worked on private jobs carrying out labouring, groundworks and other manual labour jobs.

My role at Workstream is very active and exciting. I meet with clients, solve different tasks and problems that both clients and candidates have, and work to tight deadlines. I have been with Workstream since March 2018 and I have worked in the recruitment industry for 5 years. I am personable and easy to talk to, with good communication and negotiating skills; I am always focused on finding solutions to client and candidate issues.

Gerry Walsh

My role is to find the most suitable candidates for the varied construction jobs we get in, by calling candidates on our database, putting out job adverts and searching through the several national job boards we have access to. I assess their CVs and ensure they have the appropriate work tickets and documentation. Good communication requires patience, and I know that both mine and the candidate's lives are made easier by efficiency. Since I was 18, I have worked in a range of construction roles, from labouring, painting, flooring to demolition. I have worked for Workstream since early 2019, but have worked in recruitment for since 2016. My start in recruitment was part time, so when I was not in the office I was on site working. Despite being in recruitment full time now, I still work weekends on site.

I enjoy working in the fast paced environment Workstream offers and spend most of my day juggling tasks. Around 60% of my time I spend resourcing candidates and placing them into their new roles, and the other 40% I spend doing admin related work. My patience and listening skills are my greatest assets, and what help me most in my job day to day. I started working for Workstream in December 2018.

Northern & Scotland

Simon Wilson

I manage the Northern division for all Trades & Labour and the day to day running of the Northern office. I personally specialise in the Façade sector seeing everything through from start to finish, getting a job in, finding the operatives and providing the best service possible to ensure all runs as smoothly as it can. I have been with WCS for nearly 6 years now and in this time I have built up a great rapport with the operatives and in doing so I have a great understanding of their skills and what they can achieve whist out on site. This allows me to get the right person for the job first time, ensuring client satisfaction. I used to work on site as a cladder, starting from the bottom as a labourer working my way up. I loved the work and the environment I was in. Unfortunately I had an accident on site which sent me on a different journey. The fact that I'm now back involved within the construction industry brings me great job satisfaction!


Ross Wallace

My role is to source operatives for jobs, ensuring we supply the right person with the appropriate skills first time. I complete all background checks, collect timesheets and I'm generally here to ensure both the client and candidate are happy from start to finish. My USP is honesty; I feel honesty is the best policy when recruiting to help build long lasting relationships with both the client and operatives. My strongest skills are my attention to detail and communication/listening skills. This allows me to find the best operative for each role first time, build trustworthy relationships with both operatives and clients, as well as ensuring the everyday running's of the business run smoothly. I have a background in joinery and upholstery of bench seating for pubs, clubs and restaurants, having previously worked within a family interior fit out business.
