10-11 Horsefair

From Workstream Pulse, Winter 2015/16

Workstream's recruitment desks around the country are geared up to meet clients' demands for multiple skills on massive urban projects such as London's “Shard" – the tallest building in Europe. (Work on the Shard required 100s of building envelope and logistics specialists.) But the company is frequently called upon to fulfil the temporary personnel requirements of much smaller scale projects as well. A typical example is the redevelopment of the redundant office building at 10-11 Horsefair, adjacent to the famous Cross in the pretty North Oxfordshire market town of Banbury, where the company has supplied just one site manager to County Chambers Construction. The works involve the conversion of former office space set over two floors to provide 21 entry-level flats, with an open air communal atrium at the heart of the building. The project is set for completion in Summer.
